Could words describe what you represent
the fact that you were heaven sent
Do my eyes behold all that you are
they could not possibly, not by far!

If you were to ascend into heaven above
might it still be possible to feel your love
What makes you so mighty, so great in my eyes
Could it be the power of the one most high
Is it the true power given you that I sense
a black man so powerful, full of excellence!

All that you are I may never know
but to be in your presence
what a gift for my God to bestow.
